Why is it that we should have seen this pandemic coming a mile off and spoiler alert some of us did. Secondly, why is it that the next pathogen that comes along may well be far more ominous than what we've seen in COVID-19?

I'm not trying to be melodramatic, but there's good reasons to believe that. And then finally, why is that I'm optimistic. I believe that we're going to go into the next pandemic far better prepared than we were for this one.

Stay tuned and find. Here's me in Medica 2006, in Düsseldorf, Germany talking about future pandemics. I spent my lifetime watching, understanding and inventing methods to stop spreading antimicrobial resistant infections. These are microbes that are stronger, more intelligent, and well adapted to survive. They jump from animals to humans faster than we can imagine, and is now threatening our very existance. You've not seen them before, but I have.

A simple life-saving minor surgical procedure that is performed in hospitals all over the world, can be a daunting experience for healthcare workers and patients. Though this simple procedure performed numerous times every day, doctors and nurses take years to master the skill.

IV cannulation is a critical procedure that is used in a wide variety of medical settings, including hospitals, emergency rooms, and clinics. It's not the virus, but the secondary bacterial infections that follow resulting in sepsis, multi-organ failure and death.

Vena-I-Can is my contribution to help access veins quickly and easily, even in difficult-to-access patients, Reduce the risk of complications, Improve patient comfort by minimising pain and discomfort to help reduce the secondary bacterial, and fungal infections.

We are committed to providing high-quality, life-saving devices that are accessible, and affordable to everyone. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to survive an emergency, and we are dedicated to making that happen.

Our Mission

"Revolutionizing procedures with simplicity, safety, and pain alleviation."

This version emphasizes the transformative nature of the procedures, bringing about a change in how they are perceived and experienced.

Empowering patients through effortless, risk-free, and pain-alleviating procedures that minimize anxiety and maximize comfort.

Transforming medical interventions into seamless, risk-averse, and pain-minimizing experiences that alleviate patient apprehension.

Our Vision

Venaican, our sanctuary of innovation, emerged from the crucible of necessity. We forged our purpose in the fires of urgency, driven by a singular mission: to unmask the hidden hurdles that doctors encounter when performing minor surgical procedures and shield humanity from its malevolent grasp.

Our journey began with a promise to identify problems, cost of non-consumable products encountered by doctors and nurses managing patients in hospitals, and halt the relentless march of Antimicrobial Resistant Infections. We stood shoulder to shoulder with doctors, their hands weary from the weight of suffering, and offered solace in the form of solutions.

We do not dwell in the realm of theoretical idealism, where promises echo hollow. No, our feet are firmly planted on the ground, where reality bites and wounds. We are the guardians of protection, the sentinels of safety for your family, your friends, your community—we stand unwavering.

Superbug Maverick

Dr Kadiyali Srivatsa, known affectionately as “Doctor Sri,” is not your typical white-coated physician. He’s a force of nature, a relentless crusader against the microscopic villains that threaten our very existence. Buckle up, because we’re about to dive into the extraordinary life of this superbug slayer.

"The Early Days"

A Whiff of Danger In the neon-lit laboratories of the 1980s, Dr. Sri was already stirring the scientific pot. While others sipped their coffee, he sounded the alarm about antimicrobial resistance. Picture this: a young doctor, wild-eyed and caffeinated, scribbling feverishly on a chalkboard. His message? “Superbugs are coming, folks!” The medical community raised an eyebrow. But Dr. Sri rolled up his sleeves and got to work.

Our Promise

Blinded by theoretical ideals, those in power fiddle while the world burns. Quarantines, brutal hammers forged in ignorance, splinter families and crush livelihoods. Yet, amidst the wreckage, humanity rises. We share stories, forge connections, and whisper knowledge against the storm. For in this crucible, we discover a universe not of callous indifference, but of shared vulnerability, where hope flickers like a defiant flame. We, the guardians, stand resolute. Our shields protect the vulnerable, our swords fight for change. We met, joined our hands, and promised to stand and watch the world is destroyed. We promised to  break the grip of illusion, and forge a future where healthcare's toxic burden no longer poisons our world.
